So much has changed, and I've long considered myself to have "outgrown" blogging... but y'know, it might come in handy while abroad... so every now and again, i'll post my musings here.  briefly and sweepingly, to put y'all up to speed...

I leave in early September to begin a yearlong stint as an English Teaching Assistant in Madrid, Spain, sponsored by a Fulbright grant.  I will be paying special attention to the school system's absorption of the ever-growing immigrant population (particularly non-Spanish speakers from north and sub-Saharan Africa), as well as my art-historical and anthropological interest, the impact of the Moorish legacy on contemporary Spanish society, art, and architecture. I feel profoundly blessed to have received this opportunity, logistics aside... and not only that, but i'm now a B.A.!!
